Haircare top tips
1.Brush, Brush, Brush
Gently remove any knots or tangles by using a soft brush or tangle teaser. Remember to always start at the bottom as you would your natural hair, detangling that area first before moving up. Pulling can cause breakage so be gentle.
2.Shampoo & Condition
Firstly detangle your hair before you get in the shower. ONLY use sulphate free shampoo and conditioner, be guided by your extension specialist which product is best for you. Don't wash over the bath with your head flipped over, this will cause tangling. Shampoo in the shower with your head tilted back avoid, scrunching your hair use a downward motion when rinsing, shampooing and conditioning.
Rinse extra well, making sure no excess product is left in the weft.
Its best for your natural hair and your extensions to use as little heat as possible. When you can, let your hair dry naturally. Avoid sleeping with wet extensions. When blow drying use the dryer on medium heat, smooth with a wooden soft bristle round brush. (It doesn't hold heat like a ceramic brush, much better for your hair).
Our hand tied weft is perfect when it comes to being hidden. High pony? No problem your natural hair will cover on top ,underneath and sides. Hot tip: use a soft bristle brush or tangle teaser to help smooth your natural hair into your high or low pony. The weft can also be braided or twisted into a bun. Don't be scared to get creative with your weft just remember no backcombing or teasing is recommend.
6.Are you a swimmer?
Chlorine and salt water is not great for our hair or extensions. Rinse extra well and shampoo, condition and brush after swimming. If you are a super keen swimmer a strong swimming cap is highly recommended. Salt water and Chorine will effect how long your weft will last.
To avoid knotting/tangling. Before you go to bed brush your hair with a soft brush or tangle teaser then braid or put into a low bun keeping your mane tame throughout the night.
8.Be gentle with your hair
Rough pulling, or tying your hair to tightly is not recommended if you want long lasting hair extension. You can also damage your real hair, causing breakage. Treat them well and keep up with regular tightening's to ensure your extensions last to their best potential.
9.Visit your salon regularly
Even the highest quality extensions still need up keep. Make sure you visit your extension specialist every 4-6 weeks for tightening's.
